Hares: Too many!
What to bring: $6.9 hash cash, a love for mud season, a sense of “adventure”, other 30 year olds, sunscreen, bug spray, Revolutionary War reenactors, I don’t even know.
What happens when a bunch of hashers all realize they’re the same age? They all ask to hare a trail together. Which brings us to a followup question: how many hares is too many? Well, on this trail we might find out! Also, this might be the first trail where the hares outnumber the rest of the pack. Some of this might be on nice, groomed trails and some might be pure bushwhacking, so plan for anything.
We’re starting from Bombardier Park West which is the side near the public library not the liquor store. Yes, there’s a Bombardier Park East like this is Berlin in the 1980s. No, I don’t know why they did that. I hope there’s a fun history like the Bombardier family had some sort of family feud here during the Revolutionary War where friends and neighbors had to choose sides leading to a Lexington and Concord situation on the tiny bridge that’s in the middle of the two parks. Anyone want to swing by the Milton Historical Society and get the scroop? No? Just me? Nevermind then.
TLDR; it will most likely be dirty (muddy) and there will probably be thirty hares (I hope not).
